The Response Program is Peace Corps' short term assistance program. The program provides American Volunteers to support governmental and nongovernmental organizations, as well as educational institutions in the process of developing their organizational and human capacity. The length that a Volunteer may work with an organization varies from six to twelve months depending on the needs of the organization.
