The global objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to sustainable regional development through effective formulation and implementation of relevant regional development policies in accordance with the European best practices.

The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals is improving strategic planning and implementation capacities of Georgian authorities in the field of regional development and ensuring effective participation of national stakeholders in the above processes.

The priorities under this call for proposals are related to the following regional development topics: ensuring integrated approach between regional development, urban and rural development and spatial planning policies; supporting identification of additional opportunities and competitive advantages for investing in developing regions; improving capacities of sub-national authorities and supportive local institutions.
