With the support of the DG European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, under the DIPECHO 4 programme entitled: „Supporting community resilience in the South Caucasus”, Oxfam GB in Georgia and Armenia, together with its implementing partners: Bridge - Innovation and Development, OxYGen - Foundation for Protection of Youth and Women Rights, Black Sea Eco Academy, Bridge of Hope and LORE, have been carrying out a programme to improve disaster preparedness of communities and institutions in the Adjara, Kakheti and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions in Georgia and in the Tavush region in Armenia. The objective of the programme is to increase the disaster resilience of vulnerable women and men and local governments through strengthening and replicating developed models that mitigate, prepare for, and respond to disasters in the South Caucasus region.
