The application process for 2013 Land for Life Award (United Nations Convention to combat desertification) is now open.The Land for Life Award can be given to individuals, teams, institutions, businesses, research institutes, public offices, political leaders, decision-makers, journalists, media, non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations whose work and initiatives have made a significant and innovative contribution to sustainable land management, or any other entity that the organizers may consider fit.
