The British Council deploys Teaching Assistants in its teaching centres around the world to assist our highly qualified English language teachers in classes for Young Learners aged from 7 to 11 years. This includes helping in setting up and monitoring activities, encouraging participation, and creating a positive environment for learning. Our experience shows that the participation of Teaching Assistants in classrooms is valuable for everybody - assistants, teachers, and of course the children we teach.
