South Caucasus Contemporary
Dance andExperimental Art Festival in Tbilisi announces an open call
for artistsinterested in graffiti and street art to submit sketches of possible
projectproposals with short written description.
The Festival board willselect six
participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia (two from eachcountry). If you
are a group working together, we can discuss the possibilityof your
participation as a group.
Street art and graffitiactivities
will take place in Tbilisi at a number of specified locations. Withthe support
of Tbilisi City Hall certain locations will be selected in advanceand available
for planned activities.
The graffiti and streetart
festival will be led by Brussels-based Georgian street artist ZurabMikaberidze
and will take place in Tbilisi on 3-5 June. The programconsists of a
one-day planning meeting with Zurab (3 June), graffiti/street artaction (4
June) and a workshop about the history and modern developments
ofgraffiti/street art in Europe. All the required materials (paint,
brushes, sprays,paper) as well as the transportation to and from Tbilisi,
accommodation,meals and other expenses related to the project will be provided
and covered bythe Festival.
