CSOs Appeal to the Parliament
Tbilisi. CSOs have appealed to the Parliament in relation to the draft Law "on the State Secret".
"Submitted version of the draft Law mainly reiterates the provisions and structure of the current Law, is inconsistent with international standards, and contains number of gaps, without remedying which we find adopting the Law to be unjustified. ... We urge the Parliament of Georgia not to adopt the new draft Law "on the State Secret", especially in this form, and to debate it only in light of and in parallel with the new draft Law "on the Freedom of Information", the statement says.
