CSOs have reacted to the former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's comments about Eka Gigauri and Kakha Kozhoridze and released a joint statement."The former Prime Minister continues with his series of statements against CSOs. Although he blames Eka Gigauri and Kakha Kozhoridze for cooperating with opposition forces, the spirit of his comments aims to discredit the civil sector entirely. While Bidzina Ivanishvili's allegations are groundless, he may encourage other persons, especially representatives of the authorities, to use the same rhetoric against CSOs and thus hinder active civil involvement in urgent public processes.
