CSOs Work on Improved Financial Transparency

Kakheti. The East-West Management Institute's (EWMI) ACCESS Project has organized a round table on July 25 in Kachreti, the "Ambassador" Hotel. CSOs operating in Tbilisi and regions of Georgia have discussed the issues of financial transparency. Given the current challenges, CSOs have decided to develop uniform standards that will enhance the transparency of their funding sources and better inform the population.
A draft declaration text on the financial transparency of CSOs was developed at the end of the meeting, including the common principles, values and duties of the CSOs. The participants have agreed on the most efficient ways of posting this information online. Posting the information will be voluntary and until the declaration text is finalized, all interested organizations will be able to join by signing.
