Tbilisi. Non-Governmental Organizations respond to the decision of the Constitutional Court.
''On September 16, 2015 the Constitutional Court of Georgia has announced the decision on the claim of Giorgi Ugulava. The organizations, undersigning the statement, consider it reasonable to respond to the developments of last few days regarding mentioned case. ''…The events of these days around the Constitutional Court damage the interest of justice and diminish the confidence of the society as in this institution, as in specific judges. For the independence and the reputation of the Constitutional Court it is essential that all state institutions realize its importance and role in legal stability of the country. Besides, it is necessary that the court itself and individual judges ensure the functioning of the court within the environment free of political and other inappropriate influences'' – is noted in the joint statement.
