Parliament discusses a bill regarding femicide
Tbilisi. The Parliament of Georgia has discussed a presented legislative initiative regarding femicide.
"According to the bill, gender-motivated assassination of a woman in aggravated circumstances is punishable by 11 to 14 years of imprisonment. The same act committed with extreme cruelty is punishable by imprisonment for the period from sixteen to twenty years or for life" – is stated on the web-page of the organization.
