Meeting in regard to self-regulation issues of Civil Society Organizations

Tbilisi. On January 30, Civil Society Institute held a workshop for Civil Society Organizations to discuss self-regulation issues of Civil Society Organizations. The meeting was attended by more than 20 representatives of Civil Society Organizations.
The participants noted that creation of a new mechanism of self–regulation is a significant challenge for Civil Society Organizations. In their opinion, these principles will increase effectiveness of activities of their organizations. It is important to make sure that elaboration process of this mechanism is transparent, open and that all interested Civil Society Organizations are able to participate, in order to develop a new self-regulation document for public sector based on a broad consensus. The meetings regarding this issue have already been held in Gori, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Batumi, Ozurgeti, Akhaltsikhe, Telavi, Marneuli and at the end in Tbilisi.
