Meetings within the framework of a competition for selection of regional hubs

Shida Kartli. On July 6, within the framework of the EU project a presentation of criteria and procedures of a competition for selection of regional hubs was conducted in Gori. The competition had been announced within the framework of a project "Civil Society Sustainability Initiative”. The meeting was attended by civil society organizations, operating in Shida Kartli.
Dominika Skubida, a representative of the European Union, spoke about the importance of regional organizations. She underlined the role and significance of regional organizations in the process of democracy, civil society and socio-economic development.
The Education Development and Employment Center (KEDEC) presented to representatives of civil society organizations those criteria and procedures, which are considered by the announced competition for selection of regional hubs.
The project "Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative” (2017-2020) is fully supported by the European Union and The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The project is implemented by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with Civil Society Institute (CSI), Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) and Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center (KEDEC). It aims to improve an environment for the civil society in Georgia, by empowering civil society organizations and actors, and increasing their accountability towards citizens. As a result of the initiative, Georgian organizations will become more sustainable and benefit from diversified sources of funding.
