Response of NGOs to the statement of the Chairman of the Parliament

Tbilisi. Non-governmental organizations respond to the statement of the Chairman of the Parliament.
''First of all, there is no provision in any legislative act, which would limit a public servant to talk about politicians. Besides, the Chairman of the Parliament pointed out that it is violation of ethical standards when a public servant talks about politicians, which is absolutely wrong impression about rules of ethics.
We would like to emphasize that the Constitution of Georgia and a new law on ''Public Service'' protect the right of a public servant to have a personal political opinion'' – is noted in the statement.
