Tbilisi. On 6 – 9 September Riga, the capital of Latvia, opened the largest annual international exhibition "Riga Food 2017”. The President of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Raymonds Veionis officially opened the event, in which 715 companies from 37 countries took part.

At the exhibition, the Georgian stand was one of the richest with different types of products including Georgian traditional ornaments and housing elements. Georgia in Latvia presented a wide range of products of 15 Georgian companies. Among them was Hazelnut Production Company – Cooperative "Soflis Imedi” from Senaki Municipality, supported by EU within ENPARD programme in partnership with Care Caucasus. The cooperative representatives held important meetings at the exhibition with potential partners from Latvia, other Baltic countries, as well as Poland, Moldova, Norway and Sweden.
