Presentation of Regional Hub

Western Georgia Regional Hubs of "Civil Society Development Initiative” in Ambrolauri, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti and Batumi held their presentations on December of 5th-8th in 2017.
The event was organized within the framework of "Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative". Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative aims at improving operational environment for civil society in Georgia, empowering CSOs and enhancing their sustainability, as well as increasing their accountability towards constituencies and amplifying their linkages to other actors.
Regional HUBs in all regions of Georgia were established for efficient outreach and sustainability of the action and its outcomes, as well as for experience sharing and networking on regional and national levels. The selected regional hubs of western Georgia, which have already held their presentations are following:
Racha-Lechkhumi & Kvemo Svaneti- Abkhazintercont Foundation;
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti-Association "Atinati”
Guria-The Young Scientists’ Club of Ozurgeti;
Adjara-Young Scientists Union "Intellect”
The aim of these events was to present the the concept and the role of each regional HUBs, outlining its main strategy and key activities  to the regional stakeholders and the benefits for the civil society. Representatives of regional CSOs, media, business and local government attended the event. The presentation was followed by the discussion session to reveal stakeholders’ expectations and to improve working plan for the HUB.
The project is implemented by Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in cooperation with Civil Society Institute (CSI), Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) and Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center (KEDEC). It is funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development with a total budget of 5.07 Million EUR (the EU contribution amounting 3.8 Million EUR). The project will carry out over 110 activities, award up to 80 sub-grants worth of 720 thousand EUR and engage more than 2500 civil society actors across all regions of Georgia.
