Statement of GYLA regarding recent developments in the High Council of Justice
Tbilisi. The Georgian Young Lawyers' Association (GYLA) responds to statements of judges, members of the High Council of Justice, regarding two of the non-judge members, distinguished by a critical point of view.
''We consider that an action of some of the board member judges to present cooperation with a non-governmental organization on human rights as a shameful action that harms interests of the country, is an attempt to discredit a criticizing member of the board and aims at avoiding content review of important issues'' – is stated on the website of the organization.
