Tbilisi. Georgian Young Lawyers' Association Submitted Legal Opinion on the Draft "of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories”. "GYLA welcomes the initiative of adopting the new law and the attempt to bring it in line with the international standards. However, despite number of positive amendments there are some disputable norms (issues connected to granting IDP status and IDP allowance) which should not be adopted in the given form, GYLA opines. We think that such amendments make important impact on the previous policy and requires wide scale discussion".
