Tbilisi. In Heinrich Boell Foundation a public discussion – "Prospects for NATO Integration and Territorial Conflict Resolution” was held on September 16. Shida Kartli. Charity Humanitarian Centre "Abkhazia" is providing vocational education trainings in 4 penitentiary establishments. Trainings are carried out in 9 different professions. At this stage, teachings are going full time in all the groups. The number of participants includes 200 beneficiaries.The first stage of professional trainings will last three months, until the end of November. The project is implemented by the Charity Humanitarian Centre "Abkhazia" with financial support of the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia. Kakheti.In Telavi 5-day training course "A woman who is winning”has been held organized byBusiness center "Kakheti". The training is aimed to give participants a positive motivation for success in life, growth of personal and physical attractiveness.Soso Mikeladze, a trainer: "The training program includes lectures as well as exercises, games, case studies, assignments and so on. 8 seminars will take place in total. At the end of the training motivational audio CDs and certificates will be given”. 

Shida Kartli. NATO and the EU Information Centre director Helen Gotsadze and Deputy Head of the NATO Liaison Office Christina Baleischite met Democracy School graduates of Gori. At the meeting the results of the NATO summit in Wales and the EU and NATO integration issues were talked about. Kakheti. Representatives of the World Bank opened "Matsoni House” in Alaverdi together with the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and representatives of Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.  "Matsoni House” was open within the framework of Kakheti development project and is located adjacent to the Alaverdi Monastery, on the road leading to protected territories of Tusheti.In "Matsoni House” natural home-made sour milk, food made with boiled butter, flour and sour milk mixed, Alaverdi Monastery beekeepers’ honey, Georgian wheat bread made ​​with natural yeast, domestic ‘wineskin’ cheese and pitcher wine are sold.In the same project’s framework completion of 9 more constructions are scheduled until the end of 2015.

"Beyond Tbilisi” is a project of "Transparency International Georgia”; it aims to introduce Georgian regional news to wider local and international society. "We would represent a brief summary of important regional news and articles in Georgian and English languages every day. Tbilisi. On September 15 Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) held a presentation of the project: "Law enforcement institutions in Georgia: politics, law-enforcement system”. The mentioned project has been realized since July 2014 by financial support of "Open Society Georgia Foundation”. "The number of legally required paid vacation days and public holidays vary widely from country to country. Meeting participants have discussed global consequences of 11 September 2001 and Georgia's role in ensuring the world security. The Head of the Department for International Relations and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Defense Davit Nardaia and the Deputy Director of the US Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marika Laliashvili have also participated in the event held with support of the Young Diplomats' Club. Kakheti. Representatives of the EU Delegation have met with the population residing in village Duisi, Pankisi Valley. The meeting aimed to inform the population about the EU and projects implemented or being implemented by its donor organizations.At the meeting, the EU representatives have discussed various important projects, as well as the EU's new project, which aims to increase the support and capacity in the border and migration management.This project aims to build the capacities of the civil society in Georgia. Similar projects are of key significance for the agreements executed between the EU and Georgia and fulfillment of the visa liberalization action plan.

Tbilisi. The Georgian Young Lawyers' Association has published an online version of the study - "Rehabilitation Process beyond the Facade". The study reviews the activities of two funds established by the Tbilisi Government: the Old City Rehabilitation and Development Fund and the Tbilisi Development Fund. Tbilisi. Transparency International - Georgia has released a blog post "Signs of Nepotism in the Chkhorotsku Municipality". The organization "believes that the local authorities, as well as other public agencies must administer staff policies independently, fairly and by observance of law, which means the recruitment of the new staff only through the contest-certification commission – with observance of an open and transparent contest. Tbilisi. Transparency International - Georgia has released a blog post "Staff policy in Adjara and preparations for non-confidence vote against Government in the Supreme Council". "On September 8, 7 members of the "Georgian Dream" faction of the Supreme Council of the Adjara Autonomous Republic have voted at the faction sitting for initiating the non-confidence issue against the Government of the Adjara Autonomous Republic. The initiative was first publicized on August 27 by the Chairman of the Commission for Financial, Budgetary and Economic Affairs of the Supreme Council of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Aleksandre Chitishvili, while the staff changes carried out in the Adjara Ministry of Education and a deliberate attack on Murman Dumbadze's team were named as causes of non-confidence", says the blog post. "We welcome the recent interest of the new management of the Tbilisi City Hall in the municipal enterprises and their examination. Adjara. The Ministry of Health, Public Healthcare Center and the Employment Agency have organized on September 8 a public discussion over projects of the 2015 programs. Out of the project with over 6 million budget, large portion of funds will be spent for medical assistance of the socially unprotected population. Further, funds are allocated for supporting primary healthcare and aid equipment for persons with disabilities, pensioners, children and citizens with visual impairments. The shelter of homeless mothers and children will be funded as well. Third sector representatives have expressed certain comments and opinions concerning the programs. In addition, they have addressed the Minister with a request to take into account CSO recommendations in the future program.

Tbilisi. Non-governmental organization "Helping Hand" delivers trainings on "Volunteering and Active Citizenship" for the youth and CSO representatives residing in Georgia's regions (Kvemo Kartli, Racha, Adjara). The event is organized as part of the program – "Volunteer Incubator in the Regions", which aims to promote volunteerism among the youth, as well as support institutional development of CSOs working on the youth matters and establishment of the volunteer resource centers. The program is implemented with support from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia.
