Tbilisi. The Women's Information Center responds to media reports on the rape
of a schoolchild in Kakheti.
"We believe that part of media outlets has used in the materials
the signs identifying the victim when covering the fact, which infringes upon
her rights. ... Given the sensitivity of the topic, we urge the journalists to
demonstrate more professional responsibility when covering similar
facts!", says the released statement.
