Samegrelo. As part of the youth-driven initiative ongoing currently in Zugdidi - "Unprotected from the Wind", youngsters have planted up to 200 trees in village Tsaishi.
"Unprotected from the Wind" initiative was planned by youngsters participating in discussions held as part of the project by CSO "Saunje" ("Public Space for the Youth, with financial support from the "Open Society – Georgia" Foundation).
The initiative aims to make the restoration-building of windbreak zones in rural areas a local self-government priority, facilitate citizen awareness on the importance of windbreak zones and promote citizen participation in building of windbreaks as organized by village trustees.
