Guria. At the initiative of the civic education program "Future Generation's" target school-based civic club members, the Earth Day was celebrated on April22 with diverse events in 9 schools of the Guria Region.
Large landscaping and cleaning initiatives were organized in schools, and information meetings were held on how to take care of the Earth and save its resources. Tens of paintings and posters were created on this topic, and newsletters were printed and disseminated among the population. Presentations were developed on ecology, energy and bio resources, and their rational use.
Civic education program "Future Generation" is implemented by PH International with funding from the USD Agency for International Development (USAID). The program is underway in 11 regions of Georgia. Guria Youth Resource Center is the program partner in the Guria Region.
