Tbilisi. To identify citizens' position on obligations included in the "Open Parliament" action plan, the Institute for the Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) has conducted an opinion poll from April 29 through May 19.
61,3% of respondent find it important to be able to comment on draft laws on the Parliament's web page. 58,4% find the possibility of citizen's involvement in examination of Georgian budget related issues is not less important, while 57,3% believe the introduction of mechanism for submitting online petitions through the Parliament's web page is significant.
The parliamentary inter-factional group for working on the Georgian "Open Parliament" action plan was set up on February 12 based on the Parliament Speaker's order.
