Adjara. The
Batumi Branch of the Civil Society Institute and the Batumi Civic Engagement
Center have organized the public discussions over the 2013 draft budget of the
Adjara Autonomous Republic. Three meetings were held from 6 to 13 December,
attended by the CSO and local self-government representatives, as well as the
students and interested citizens. Budgetary programs planned by the Ministry of
Agriculture of the Adjara AR were presented on December 6, while on December 7
the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has presented the planned activities,
and on December 13 - the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the
Adjara AR.
Representatives of the Ministries have informed
the audience in detail about the planned budgetary programs and listened to
respective comments and recommendations.
