Tbilisi. On May 1, 2017, the new Charter of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) officially entered into force. The Charter defines the new structure of the organization and its strategic directions.
''The new Charter determines the Supervisory Board as the highest governing body of IDFI that is responsible for setting the general direction and development strategy of the Institute, electing the Executive Director and overseeing his/her work. Board Members are elected for a 4 year term, with a possibility to extend the term by 2 years'', is noted in the statement.
