Training on elections, gender and communication for potential female candidates
On May 12-14, IFES with partnership of IRI conducted a training on gender, elections and communication for female potential candidates in Katsreti.
''The main goal of the training was to increase the capacity of female activists in the field of elections, communications and gender. The training module comprised a balanced combination of theoretical and practical exercises and included topics such as: effective communication and message building, media communication, public speech and presentation, personal and elections branding, etiquette and protocol, gender communication; using social media during elections; women’s capacity to influence change and etc. One-on-one sessions with participants were dedicated to public speech and interview skills; exercises included simulated interviews and public speeches recorded on camera that were later reviewed and evaluated together with the trainers'', is noted in the statement.
