Study "Public Relations Strategy of Public Institutions"
Tbilisi. The Institute
for the Development of Freedom of Information has released the study
"Public Relations Strategy of Public Institutions". According to the
study, 21 out of 23 public institutions do not have a special document for
public relations. Only one public institution - the Ministry of Defense of
Georgia has developed an action plan for public relations in 2012."It is crucial that each public
institution develops the communication strategy and the detailed action plan,
which would write out not only visions and priorities, but also the concrete
activities to be implemented for achieving the set objectives by the specific
dates, including the persons responsible for their implementation. Such
document would simplify communication between the public and the government,
make the work of a state institution more fruitful and the state services
available to a broader pool of persons", says the organization's web page.
