Tbilisi. "Transparency International Georgia” responds to a bill initiated by Roman Gotsiridze, a member of the "United National Movement”, in regard to amendments to be made into the "Law on Broadcasting” (goo.gl/As4XFk).

"There is a real danger that in case of adoption of the proposed bill, the Government, based on an obtained authority to approve/disapprove the budget of the Broadcaster, will acquire an additional mechanism to gain influence and put pressure on it” – is noted in the statement.
