Constitutional Court declared authority to strip search unconstitutional

Tbilisi. On July 26, the Constitutional Court declared authority to strip search a prisoner unconstitutional on the basis of a claim of the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association.
While reviewing the case, GYLA was trying to prove that it was possible to detect illegal items (knife, narcotics, etc.) on the body of a prisoner without strip search, through a scanner.
