Tbilisi. Charter of Journalistic Ethics of Georgia releases a statement regarding developments around TV Company "Iberia”.
"Journalists of the TV Company state that their channel is facing a pressure carried out by the government through creating problems to the financing company. There were published audio recordings, which might contain signs of crime, therefore the Charter considers it important to start an investigation in order to determine whether the government has a connection with the content of these conversations and persons involved therein. Besides, to ensure state agencies conduct negotiations and other actions related to the TV Company and its main financer in a transparent manner and provide complete information to the public”, - is noted in the statement.
