Tbilisi. In accordance with the recommendation issued by the Georgian Government after pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization, the Public Defender's Office made a decision to switch to the emergency mode from March 16, meaning a remote working mode for most of its staff.
"The above does not apply to the activities of the Public Defender and the Deputies of the Public Defender, as well as to the employees whose presence in the office is necessary for continous implementation of the constitutional mandate of the Public Defender's Office (including for paying visits to closed institutions)".
