Tbilisi. The Earth Day is celebrated worldwide on April 22, which aims to promote environmental protection and the "green" mode of life. The UN Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Georgia are the organizers of the Earth Day campaign in Georgia. The event, which took off on April 17 and will complete on April 23, unites over 100 schoolchildren from Borjomi, Akhaldaba, Tsaghveri and Akhaltsikhe. Members of the eco-clubs functioning with the schools will plant saplings in the school yards.
