Batomi and EMC address the Ombudsman in regard to the case of construction of an ambassador on the boulevard

Tbilisi. The Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC), on behalf of the civil society organization Batomi, applied to the Public Defender requesting to study legality of a permit, issued for construction of a 19-storey hotel complex on Batumi Boulevard, and release a relevant recommendation.

Batomi and EMC consider that the decision made by the Adjara Cultural Heritage Protection Agency (“Agency”) is unequivocally unlawful and irreversibly and substantially damages the immovable cultural heritage site - Batumi Boulevard.
