Tbilisi. "Transparency
International - Georgia" has released the Georgian hospital sector report.
The report covers issues such as the hospital state in the country,
privatization of hospitals, remuneration of medical staff, regional insurance
system, etc.
Pursuant to the report, insurance companies are the
owners of over 40% of regional hospitals, 29% - physical persons, and 18% -
private persons.
This is the second report produced by
"Transparency International - Georgia" that studies the healthcare
system. It was prepared within the framework of the project funded by the
Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The organization is drafting another
report, which covers the insurance sector and which will be released in the
near future.
