Tbilisi. The Social Protection League has summarized the project results on July 11 in the offices of "Open Society - Georgia" Foundation. The center for the protection of children with disabilities was opened up within the project framework, which offered different services to the children with disabilities. Throughout the center's operation 182 beneficiaries were served, and the hot line has received over 2,000 calls. The work carried out within the project framework and the identified problems and needs requiring further work were discussed in detail at the presentation. "There is a big demand for free of charge rehabilitation and it should be implying as the child's physical, as well as the mental development rehabilitation, which must be necessarily adjusted to a child's individual development plan" – noted the organization's representative at the presentation. Special emphasis was made on the need to have services oriented on the parents of children with disabilities.
