Tbilisi.The International Day of Zero Waste is an annual event facilitated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
This day underscores the importance of strengthening waste management globally and emphasizes the need to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns.
The event is organised with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Norway, under the initiative: “LEAD: Leadership, Equality, Advocacy, Democracy”, within the framework of the project End Plastic Pollution in Georgia, implemented by CENN, in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
