Meeting between the national and local non-governmental organizations
Tbilisi. On the 26th of September Center Abkhazeti convened the meeting between the national and local non-governmental organizations, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia and the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the international organizations. The meeting aimed at discussing the current and future challenges of the Livelihoods Strategy and the role of the NGOs in its implementation process. The parties of the meeting agreed that the representatives of the NGOs will review and comment the existing documents of the Livelihoods Strategy and Action Plan. The comments will be further analyzed and considered by the Ministry. Furthermore the livelihoods Call for Proposals, to be announced by the Delegation of European Union, will be aligned and built on the priority areas identified in the Strategy and Action Plan documents with the participation of the NGOs. Finally the ministry will participate in the selection of project proposals and implementing organizations within the livelihoods Call for Proposals.
