Presentation of the Portal
Shida Kartli. On August 22, the Gori
Office of the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association has hosted the presentation
of the election portal developed by the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association,
International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) and Transparency
International – Georgia.
The portal aims, to the extent possible, to
provide diverse and comprehensive information to all interested persons about
the issues related to the 2012 parliamentary elections.
Further, the above organizations will register
the violations reported by them on the map of incidents available on the
portal.
In addition, the election portal will give the
interested citizens the opportunity to upload information on alleged violations
themselves. Free SMS number will be available as well.
Local CSO and media representatives and active
citizens have attended the meeting.
The meeting ended with the discussion concerning
the election-related processes in Shida Kartli.
