Adjara. The Adjara leaders of the
"Coalition for Independent Life" have delivered a "lesson of
kindness" on November 13 to the schoolchildren of the Batumi School #16.
Over two hours teachers with disabilities have talked to children about
problems in protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and the
incorrect use of terms towards the persons with disabilities. Further, to
achieve maximum interaction with the schoolchildren during the lesson, they
were given concrete assignments, in which they have expressed their vision on
the employment of persons with disabilities. It is planned to deliver similar
lessons in the other schools of Batumi as well, aiming at raising the
schoolchildren's awareness and promoting the right attitude towards the
community with disabilities.
