Shida Kartli. On August 30 the Gori Civic Engagement Center has hosted the meeting on the tourist potential of Gori and the development of tourist business both in terms of historical-recreational and the sports activities.

The tourist potential of the Gori Municipality includes among others the health tourism - resort Gorijvari(republic-scale balneological resort); Tana Gorge, where the ancient Georgian architectural monument Vere Fortress and monastery are located; the unique waterfall in the Tana Gorge, which is frozen in the winter and is interesting for the fans of extreme tourism; ancient city carved in the rocks - Uplistsikhe and numerous other unique places, which overall provide favorable environment for the development of tourism.

The Chairman of the Gori Municipality SakrebuloZviadKhmaladze, Chief Specialist of the Sakrebulo Eka Japiashvili, representatives of the civil society and private sector, journalists and citizens have attended the meeting.
