Imereti. Discussion on "Mediation and
Prospects for Its Development" was held as part of the project of the
Foundation for the Support of Legal Education of the Georgian Young Lawyers'
Association. The discussion was held in Kutaisi, hosted by the AkakiTsereteli
State University, and attended by the judges, notaries and students.As the expert of the National Center
for Mediation Giorgi Tsertsvadze has noted, mediation is a dispute resolution
method with assistance from a neutral third person. The organization tries to
introduce this practice in the Georgian reality.Since 1 October 2013, the National Center for
Mediation has already delivered trainings to several notaries. Currently there
are 18 trained mediators in Georgia.
