Discussion on the Challenges of Sustainable Energy in Georgia

meeting was held on November 20 with the former President of company Shell Oil and the lead scientist of the
Arizona University John Hofmeister. Challenges that the energy sector of the
world and Georgia faces were discussed at the event. John Hofmeister has
delivered a presentation on the planning of energy projects that would take
into account as the country's economic interests, as well as the citizens'
social interests and needs; further, he has talked about strategies of
searching for investors.The meeting was organized by the
East-West Management Institute, the Economic Policy Research Center, and the
Global Institute for Sustainable Development functioning with the Arizona State
University.
