Discussion on the Management of Waste
Imereti. The
Kutaisi Civic Engagement Center has hosted the meeting-discussion today on the
"management of waste of the Kutaisi City and the Imereti Region". The
dialogue on the management of waste of Kutaisi and the Imereti Region was held
among the representatives of NGOs, local governance and self-governance, as
well as the private business. The meeting aimed at sharing the experience in
the management of waste and discussing the opportunities of increasing the
public involvement.
The
meeting was organized as part of the environmental education week – "Let's clean Georgia - raising
public awareness and involving it in the process of improvement of management
of household waste". This project is implemented by the consortium of NGOs
- Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth - Georgia and the union for
sustainable development "Ecovision".
Local
organizers of the meeting were the Research-Intellectual Club "Dialogue of
Generations" and the regional representative of the Greens Movement of
Georgia.
