Imereti. At the initiative of the "Sokhumi" Fund, the Gender Consultation Councils were presented in Kutaisi. As the specialist of the program of the UN Women's organization Tamar Sabedashvili has stated, the objective of the Consultation Councils is to have more citizen participation in the decision-making on gender equality and women's rights in the city. In addition, the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the "Sokhumi" Fund and the Kutaisi Sakrebulo was executed at the event. According to the specialist of the program of the UN Women's organization, the Memorandum enables the citizens to be more involved in the decision of issues such as kindergartens, their conditions, number, precedents of violence against women, empowerment of women in public areas, etc.
