Tbilisi. On September 4-5, the Consultation and Training
Center has hosted the Steering Committee meeting of the civics teachers' forum.
The Committee has planned the autumn regional events in the 11 regions of
Georgia, which include the organization of round tables and open lessons.
Future development of the forum has also been discussed at the meeting.
In September, under the aegis of the
forum the round tables will be held in all 11 regions of Georgia from 6 to 20
September, during which the key principles and approaches towards evaluation of
students in civic education will be presented. The results of civics teachers'
subject certification exams will be also discussed at the meetings.
The forum activities are implemented as
part of the Civic Education and Teachers' Training Program. The Program is implemented
by the organization PH International in partnership with the Consultation and
Training Center. The Program is financially supported by the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID).
