‘’Peer Education for Prevention of Trafficking’’

ShidaKartli.The training in "Peer Education for Prevention of Trafficking" was delivered on September7 in the society "Biliki" for the members of civic clubs of the ShidaKartli schools. The training was delivered by the students of the Gori University and the leader of the civic club of the 12th Public School of Gori, who have participated in the summer camp "With and For the Youth" (International Organization for Migration) on August 17-22. After returning from the camp, it was planned to deliver the peer education trainings.
The following issues were discussed at the training: what is trafficking, its signs, forms and types, trafficking and prevention mechanisms, trafficking in Georgia and its statistics. During the training a short film on the topic of trafficking was shown, followed by the discussion around the film. At the end of the training the moot court trial was held among the participants, ended by the examination of the case and its legal analysis.
The clubs were awarded with the student's book – "Trading in Humans, trafficking" and the newsletters. 30 youngsters have attended the training.
