“Promoting Systemic Changes for Single Mothers ...”
Tbilisi. The
Anti-Violence Network has organized a closing conference on February 3 as part
of the project "Promoting Systemic Changes for Securing Social and Legal
Guarantees for Single Mothers", funded by the "Open Society -
Georgia" Foundation and the US Agency for International Development.
Representatives of the state and non-governmental sector have attended the
event.In
cooperation with other CSOs and the state agencies, the Anti-Violence Network
has drafted a package of legislative amendments on the legal status of a
"single mother" under the legislation of Georgia, as well as the
creation of social and legal protection guarantees for the similar category of
persons.
