CSO "Citizen" was presented on February 4. Founder
Bidzina Ivanishvili has informed mass media on the organization. The issue of
hire and control of the authorities is one of the key problems in the opinion
of the former Prime Minister: "We should learn how to hire the authorities
and who and how to elect ...". According to the founder, chief objective
of the "Citizen" will be to assist the public in developing the
skills for hiring the authorities. In this respect, he said media plays an
enormous role and accordingly, media projects - trainings for journalists,
training of analysts, media research - will be a key focus area of the
"Citizen". Second area that the organization will work on is economy
and the related issues. According to Bidzina Ivanishvili, "Cartu"
Foundation will symbolically fund several new CSOs, and the professionalism and
activities of the employed staff will be their main source of income. In light of
results of their activities, Bidzina Ivanishvili does not exclude the formation
