The "Law School" was presented on February 11 in the Batumi
Civic Engagement Center. 9th, 10th and 11th graders have an opportunity to
study in the Law School for free. During three months they will receive
information on human rights, state law and democracy.The "Law School" is a joint project of the Civic Engagement
Center and the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association (GYLA). This project runs
for approximately eight years and aims to introduce legal education among
schoolchildren and improve practical knowledge. Throughout the studies
schoolchildren will get acquainted with conflict resolution, decision-making
and other required skills. The "Law
School" will bring up the children as exemplary citizens, who will react
not only to their own interests but will stand up to protect the interests of
others as well.
