Tbilisi. On September14 the "Georgian Charter
of Journalistic Ethics" and the Slovak civil society organization
"Memo 98" have presented the results of the first and second interim
reports of media monitoring. The monitoring aims at exposing in details as to
how are various topics covered by televisions during the pre-election period.
The
first and second interim reports analyze the monitoring results of the prime
time of 11 televisions for the period of 1-15 July 2012 and 23 July – 5 August
2012. These televisions are: The 1st Channel of Public Broadcaster, Rustavi 2,
Imedi, Maestro, Kavkasia, 9th Channel, Real TV, 25th Channel, Adjara TV, TV
Rioni and Mega TV.
The
qualitative analysis method was applied during the monitoring. Monitoring has
revealed that the results of all television companies are approximately equally
high and it falls between the good and high professional standards.
